Ray Wade Arts Foundation Fund

Ray Wade has been fascinated by art and precious stones since the 1970's, and has set up the Ray Wade Arts Foundation to inspire this passion in others.
The aim of the Foundation is to support students from Central Otago area including Wānaka, Cromwell and Whakatipu to attend the Dunedin School of Art.
Ray Wade was born in Whanganui, started working with stone at age 14, before settling Whakatipu in 1978. He has been making jewellery since 1986.
His love of the process of working with stones, and making jewellery has been a huge part of his life and Ray wants to pass this onto future artists through his foundation.
The Ray Wade Foundation Scholarship fund has been set up with the goal to support students planning to attend Otago Art School graduating from high schools in the Wakatipu, Wanaka and Cromwell area.
This includes older students who wish to further their art practice.
Future scholarship funds will be available if the student then studies jewellery, ceramics or print making.
Please note, this fund is not currently offering scholarships, but is open to donations to help build the value of the fund and support fine arts students.
