BforGood is a corporate social responsibility initiative developed in partnership with the local Chamber of Commerce. It helps small and medium-sized businesses become local champions by supporting community causes through financial giving, time, and in-kind donations.

The Greatest Needs Fund was launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It addresses urgent and emerging needs in the community, particularly those not met by government or other funding. Donations are granted swiftly to organisations making a difference.

Impact100 Wakatipu is a women’s giving circle where each member donates $1,000 annually. Pooled funds are granted to a local charity chosen by vote. The model enables large, transformational grants to support community impact.

Workplace Giving allows employees to make regular donations from their pay. Employers can also match donations, building a culture of giving within the company and enabling collective impact from staff contributions.

Scholarship funds support students in the Wakatipu region pursuing education, training, or personal development. Donors can establish named scholarships or contribute to existing ones to help remove barriers and unlock potential.

This programme encourages giving while receiving something meaningful in return. Initiatives may include gift vouchers or products tied to donations, allowing donors to support causes while engaging creatively with local businesses.

Generation Give is a youth-led philanthropy programme that empowers high school students to make grants to local charities. Participants learn about community needs, fundraising, and decision-making, becoming the next generation of givers.

Held annually in September, Wills Month raises awareness about the importance of leaving a charitable gift in your will. Partner law firms offer free or discounted will updates, making it easier to include a legacy to the community.

Meaningful Christmas promotes gifting donations instead of material presents. Donors receive gift cards to share with loved ones, supporting local causes and bringing purpose to the holiday season.
